Don't Just Travel...Experience!
The Adirondack Wild is a New York-based basketball organization committed to assisting young basketball players in their pursuit of excellence. We do this with a combination of intense individualized coaching and instruction as well as providing the best competition available to stimulate growth.
Our knowledgeable coaching staff is dedicated to helping each athlete improve their individual basketball skills and providing them the highest level of competition to play with and against. We want to enable our players to be leaders on their high school basketball teams as well as participate on the collegiate level. The organization is also committed to provide each student/athlete opportunities to develop leadership skills, teamwork, dedication, discipline and focus. We believe these life skills taught through basketball will be applicable throughout their academic careers and beyond. The Wild participate in local, state, and regional tournaments and these events typically account for over 70% of our schedule.
Head Coach – Frank Hart
Frank Hart has been coaching boy’s basketball since 1992 following a playing career at Shaker High School and collegiately at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Adirondack Wild roots began in 1993 as the IHG sponsored Capital District Express, an AAU-sanctioned organization that grew into the area's premiere travel team. As seniors, the Express featured six players that would go on to compete at the Division I and II levels. After starting a family, Frank has resurrected this program to share this experience with his son Brady.
During his coaching career, Frank has helmed teams at both Shaker and Catholic Central High School (CCHS). Hart has one Big Ten and four Suburban Council titles and has coached players that have gone on to star in colleges like BYU, Penn State, Navy, Siena, Cornell, Lemoyne, Quinnipiac, Stony Brook, College of St. Rose, Bentley, Oneonta, Southern Vermont, and many others.
